Cowboys close hectic stretch on short week with another winless team in the Bucs

The Dallas Cowboys are approaching the end of a demanding two-week stretch that featured extensive travel, including a 10-hour flight to Rio de Janeiro and another trip to Houston, as they look to complete three games in just 11 days.

They will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night, a matchup that may bring some relief to the Cowboys, although edge rusher Rashan Gary finds the hectic schedule to be fun. Gary commented, “It just depends on what people consider busy. This is fun.” As they move into Week 5, the Cowboys remain optimistic and healthy, with Gary noting the team’s strong condition at this stage of the season.

The Cowboys will face another team without a win, this time with the Buccaneers fielding undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels, who is set to make his second start in place of Baker Mayfield, sidelined by a dislocated thumb. The Bucs are struggling, having dropped 11 of their last 13 games since a promising start last season.

In their last match against the Houston Texans, Dak Prescott connected with CeeDee Lamb for a winning touchdown pass, a promising sign for the Cowboys as they turn their focus to Tampa Bay. Coach Todd Bowles acknowledged the challenge of playing a desperate team and emphasized the need for his squad to stay grounded.
