A mother from Dallas, Kayla Price, is heartbroken after her purse, which contained her terminally ill son’s life-saving medication, was stolen at the State Fair of Texas on Tuesday, October 6, around 8 p.m. The theft occurred while she was attending the event with her two sons. Price had placed her purse on the back of her 3-year-old son Devin’s wheelchair, but it was gone when she turned away briefly to assist her older son.
The purse contained approximately $1,500, including medication crucial for Devin, who suffers from a terminal brain tumor and is currently in hospice care following six rounds of chemotherapy. The medication, which helps prevent seizures, costs around $2,000 to replace. Price has reported the crime to the Dallas Police Department and is making a heartfelt appeal to the thief to return her belongings, expressing the impact of the theft on her family’s well-being.
