Dallas Trail Welcomes Northaven Herd of Goats and Sheep

This week, a unique assembly of goats and sheep is seen along Northaven Trail in North Dallas, gathering to graze.

Known as the “Northaven Herd”, these animals were observed munching on vegetation near the intersection of Inwood and Midway roads. Aerial footage captured by NBC 5’s Texas Sky Ranger showcased the herd in their natural setting.

The presence of these animals goes beyond mere feeding; they are crucial for aiding the restoration of local ecosystems and promoting the growth of native wildflowers throughout the city.

Residents of North Dallas have the opportunity to watch the herd as they graze in the area throughout the week. Those interested in seeing them can utilize the “Live Flock Finder” online to follow their movements and find the best moments for photos.
